Your music never leaves this computer. The kluc analyzes your music locally and does not send audio, file names, analysis results, usage statistics, crash reports or any other data over the network. There is no account, no telemetry and no advertising. The main window blocks all network requests.

License check

About once a week, when your computer is online, the kluc sends our license server the license key (which contains the e-mail address it was issued to), a random identifier created when the kluc was installed and the app version. We use this only to confirm the license, to limit it to two computers and to block keys that were refunded or shared. We keep the identifier and the time of the last check for as long as the license exists.

What the kluc stores on your computer

• Your license key and its e-mail address, the random installation identifier, the last license check, the list of tracks counted for the trial, and your settings and color theme – in the kluc's application folder in your user Library.
• Tags and file names it writes, and normalized copies it creates – only in your music folders, only when you confirm.

The license data are stored in the European Union (Frankfurt) by our database provider Supabase.

When you buy or contact us

When you choose "Buy", the kluc opens a checkout window with our website and Stripe's payment page. We, as controller, and Stripe, as our payment provider, then process your name, e-mail address, billing details and payment details to conclude the contract, deliver the key, issue an invoice and meet our legal obligations, as described in the privacy policy at https://thekluc.app/privacy. The checkout window is separate from the rest of the app and sees none of your music.
